"We are delighted to announce successful completion of the HFD75 Fire Shutter testing at Warrington Fire Research in July of this year. We managed to gain fire certification in a very short period. The HFD75 can withstand fire for up to four hours. With safety deservedly becoming more and more important in building design, the HFD75 should be an integral part of commercial and industrial buildings"

HFD75 Fire Shutter

The Hangar HFD75 should be an integral part of your building design. The HFD75 is designed to close automatically in the event of a fire alarm signal or activation from a fusible link. The HFD75 Fire Shutter can help prevent the spread of fire throughout your premises, and in conjunction with fire-resistant wall materials can contain fire to a single area for up to 4 hours.

All fire rated shutters are fitted with safety brake to hold shutter in event of chain or motor failure.

Hangar Fire Shutters are manufactured to an approved specification following a fire resistance test carried out in accordance with BS 476 Part 22 1987, on a single specimen of a Roller Sutter.
This test was conducted by Warrington Fire research in 2006 test report no 123568.

SPECIFICATION

Curtain: Constructed from cold rolled galvanised steel to a 75mm traditional lath profile held in place by cast steel end locks on alternate laths fixed by heavy duty steel rivets. Curtain material minimum 0.9mm.

Bottom Rail: Minimum 3mm thick mild steel 50x50 angle and fixed to curtain using 1.2mm thick quirk strip.

End plates: Constructed from mild steel of sufficient strength to support Roller Shutter and fitted to support structure by minimum 5mm thick angle brackets.

Guides: Manufactured from cold rolled galvanised steel channels fixed to opening by continuous mild steel angles with slotted fixings to allow for lateral movement under fire conditions.

Roller Barrel: Manufactured from mild steel tube of appropriate size as recommended in fire test reports to support Roller Shutter. Rollers are fixed to end plates by general methods dependant on operation requirements.

ELECTRICALLY OPERATED
All electrically operated fire roller shutters can be operated as any standard roller shutter and will close under controlled descent when activated.

OPERATING SYSTEMS ARE AS FOLLOWS
LEVEL 1 Fusible link operated. Door will close on breakage of fusible link when temperature reaches 68 degrees C.

LEVEL 2 Alarm activated allows door to close on receipt of signal from alarm- solenoid must be manually reset.

LEVEL 3 As level 2 except solenoid will automatically reset.

LEVEL 4 Incorporates all of the above systems. i.e activated by signal from alarm with a fusible link back up system.
