HSD40 Insulated Sectional Overhead Door

"As one of the original suppliers of sectional doors to the Irish market, Hangar has a wealth of experience in this product. We source our panels and components from leading manufacturers in the UK and Europe. The HSD40 is starting to out-do the best-selling HID65 Industrial Roller Door as clients become increasingly aware of heat retention. The HSD40 is aesthetically pleasing, complementing a range of building exteriors and cladding."

Choosing appropriate access for your premises can also be a chance to ensure a stylish finish to your building, while providing maximum insulation. The Hangar HSD40  provides guaranteed high thermal performance, avoiding cold bridging compared with non-insulated roller doors. The HSD40 is particularly suited to Kingspan and Corus cladding products.

Architectural Specification
Hangar Insulated Sectional Overhead Door constructed from hinged weatherproof composite panels 40mm thick with a polyurethane core giving a high 'U' value. Panel size is 0.610mm. Outer skin finish in HP200 Plastisol in a range of Standard Colours or in a painted finish from the Standard Stock RAL Colour Range. Inner sheets finish in white polyester coated galvanised steel in stucco embossed finish. The facing materials used on composite panels, when tested independently, have a class one surface spread of flame to BS 476 Part 7. A non-conductive thermal break assists in the prevention of temperature loss. The door has a perimeter rubber seal to top, bottom and sides to give a complete seal.
All hardware components and tracks are galvanised. Aluminium cable drums are used. The spring mechanism is individually calculated to counterbalance the door weight. A galvanised track is fitted to the prepared structural opening. Various applications are employed depending on structure and clearances available.

Operation

Because all doors are individually balanced they may be opened and closed by hand however assistance is required as opening size increases.

Locking System

Spring loaded bolt lock is provided as standard on a manually operated door if the door is to be locked from the inside only. A security mortise lock can be fitted in the panel and locked from both sides if required.

Pull Handle

Our Insulated Sectional Overhead Door is fitted with an easy to grip handle which also functions as a footplate when the door is operated manually.

Selecting the Track System

Tracking systems come in four basic types. The choice of system is based on the path the door will follow when being opened and closed and the space limitations available.
Our technical Department can adapt to suit conditions such as "Follow the Roof" and advise on non-standard applications.
